BMW

Our country is obsessed with mileage and practicality, the whole new BMW 6 series is a more privileged connotation, rather than a depressingly solitary one.

India is very fast growing luxury car market and mainly the sports car segment. Almost like any citizen I experience quite a mad rush of excitement when I see and Aston Martin pass by on the city streets. Sports car has always been a craze among people and now the question arises that what is really going to change with the homecoming of the BMW's third generation 6 Series Coupe?

Nice look with a wider base

You really don't need to look it for a long time that this is indeed a gorgeous looking car. Compared to Chris Bangle's dreary treatment on the outgoing 6 series, the new one looks far more exciting, to say the least. There is no drooping headlights and morose facial expressions, to be replaced by something that is very pleasing to the eye.

This car will be having more command and athletic elegance to it, and a new model's extra length and width over its predecessor  combined with a 5mm lower height has given the third generation model a lust worthy silhouette.  It also has neat kidney grille slats emphasize the coupe's sporting demeanor, the sweeping bonnet flanked by those marvelous looking bi-xenon headlamps and the optional LED optional fog lamps below them endows the car's front end with a new lease of life.

Compared to the eyesore-ish and disjointed rear styling on the previous generation model, the back end of the BMW 2-door coupe needn't demand your attention, it will just get it. It also has very clever interplay of LED, chrome and crease here.

The car does not lack style and finesse, in fact it comes across as being far too serious in its layout and execution. But one thing is for sure it is not something like magic because we have experienced in similarly priced Audis and Mercs. Though its a personal choice with regards to the interiors and the Germans have fortunately given us quite a vivid palette to pick from.
